Our future Olympian in swimming

Max has become quite fond of splashing in his bathtub. Our next place will have a real bathtub so he can start swimming laps! Michael Phelps- LOOK OUT!!!

Max playing on the rings

Max went to Jamie's(his buddy from the mother group) house today and played on the rings. Max was having fun until he got kind of stuck in the second video. I know I'm a mean Mommy but I couldn't help but laugh:)

Sofia's party

One of the girls, Sofia, from our mother group had a birthday party on Saturday. Max had a great time. They had a baby pool full of plastic balls. The kids all loved it. This is Max and Elli(the other girl in the mother group).
They love the balloons!
I tried to get a picture of the four kids in the mother group but now that they are all moving, it's almost impossible! Sofia is the one in the back.

More fun in the drawers

Max is sitting in one of the pans in this picture. His little butt fits perfectly in it. I caught him with a weird expression on his face.
The drawers aren't just for playing-Max has learned to stand in them so he can reach things on the counter. I'm still debating whether I should remove everything from our apartment except the couch and coffee table!!! I can't keep anything out of his sticky little hands!
"I can almost reach that big glass thing!"
Max is saying a little prayer that he will one day be able to climb on the counters.
"I'm such a big boy, right Mommy?"

Playing on the couch

I couldn't decide which one was the best so I put them all on. He is a wild and crazy little man!

A slumber party at David's

Thank God for great friends! Our good friends, Thomas and Susse, took care of Max overnight while Thomas and I went to a wedding. I didn't worry at all because they've done such an amazing job with their son, David! Thank you sooooo much, Thomas and Susse! I borrowed these pictures from David's blog since I obviously wasn't there to take them. David is so sweet to help Max!
The boys having a beer... or maybe just talking about current events.
Thomas and Susse told us that Max is more active than David when he was Max's age. Is that a nice way of saying our son is a handful????
He's always trying to climb onto and into anything he can.
I think these 2 have many fun years ahead of them to play together!

Using the cart for something else

"Mommy and Daddy, look what I can do!"
"Maybe I can get it to roll if I push on the handle."
"Hmm...what's that on TV? Oh yeah, it's Friends!"
"Mommy, I am about to go to bed. Don't take my picture when I look so tired!"

Dancing, dancing, dancing!

I just can't get enough of Max dancing! He loves music. He dances to commercials, to TV programs and anything that has some sort of a tune. Notice how he moves the chair a little so he has more room to dance! The boy loves to cut a rug!

Playing in the drawers and waiting for the mail

Max has learned to open drawers now. He is the typical child that likes to take everything out and make as much noise as possible while doing it.
In this picture you can see he is sitting in the drawer.
It makes it easier for him to get everything out.
"No mail yet, Mommy."
" Hey there's a peek hole here for me!"

Max loves yogurt!

I let Max feed himself yogurt because he loves to eat it. Needless to say, he made a HUGE mess...but I know he enjoyed himself!

Max's crazy hair

No gel needed! Max has his food!
He can get the spoon in his mouth but the food always falls off before it gets there.
"I just can't handle the stress of feeding myself!"

What would Max do without his hair?!

Post Danmark Rundt(Tour of Denmark)

The past 5 days have been quite busy for the Bendixen family. Thomas rode in the Tour of Denmark and Max and I saw him in each stage. The Tour of Denmark is a smaller version of the Tour de France(less mountainous and not as many days). Six Tour de France teams took part in this race. There were a total of 120 riders. It was so exciting to see Thomas out there with professional riders. We are so proud of him!!!! The first day in Holstebro the teams were introduced. This is Thomas' team; Team Logstor Cycling for Health. Thomas told a little about each rider.

The race is on!
After stage 3(a very hilly stage) in Vejle, we met Thomas at the finish line. Max loves to be with his Daddy!
Max thinks Daddy is #1!!!!!

Post Danmark Rundt(Tour of Denmark)

After the race in Vejle we(not Thomas) went back to Faster(father's sister in Danish) Annette's house for dinner. She lives next door to a farm(Basso's birthplace) where they have a lot of cows. Tobias showed Max the cows and the cows posed for us!
I think they thought we had food. They are a lot bigger in person-the picture doesn't show that.
Max had a great time with Bedstemor and Bedstefar on day 4 in Odense. He loved to clap for all the riders!
After the race in Odense, there was a time trial later in the evening in Kerteminde. Here is a picture of Thomas on the starting block.
The hand in front of his face is counting down.
