A couple swimming videos

Max with his Florida hat on

Max likes to wear his hat to keep the sun out of his eyes.

Max and Santa Claus

Max went to see Santa on Christmas Eve Day. He told Santa that he's been a good boy all year. He gave Mommy a good pregnancy and an "easy" delivery and has been a wonderful baby for his parents. Santa asked Max what he wanted for Christmas. Max told him warm weather(or at least some sunshine) in Denmark when we have to go back! Maybe Max was a little influenced by Mommy:)

Max's day at the pool

Here we have Max in his beach attire with Grandpa. Max wasn't sure about the sandals-he kept trying to kick them off.
Of course, Grandpa and Grandma bought some floaty things for Max.
Max loves his ducky in the pool as well.
This picture was taken right after I dunked Max in the water. It's supposed to be good for them to get used to the water. He doesn't cry when I do it but I don't think it's one of his favorite things!
This picture was taken later in the day. Max just wanted to cruise around the pool with Daddy.

It's a Grandma's secret touch

Grandma and Max were dancing to the Eagles. Grandma's arms were so comfortable that Max couldn't help falling asleep.

Max has some new friends

Yesterday Max met some of my high school friends and their kids. From left to right...Jen Mowry(Logan) with her two kids, Owen(3 and a half) and Annabel(6 months on January 3rd) and Eva Barrial(Fisher) with her son Jayden(21 months). Just a few years ago(15 or so) we were talking about the color of our bed sheets in college. How quickly our priorities have changed!

Max in his ducky bathtub

Grandpa and Grandma bought Max a ducky bathtub while he's here in Florida. Max likes to kick the water...a good start for a future Olympic swimmer!

A visit with Beemer

Max had a nice visit with Beemer last week. She bought him a stocking for his first Christmas. In the second picture, Max fell asleep just sitting in Beemer's arms. She has a special touch!

A tough life in Florida

The boys love lounging in Grandpa Greg's chair. Only special people get that privilege!

Max's first airplane ride

Max had his first plane ride on Tuesday. The 10 hour flight from Copenhagen to Atlanta was great! He loved talking to the passengers around us and watching the movies. He didn't cry at all!! Then we had a 4 hour layover in Atlanta...not good for the little guy. He wasn't too happy on the 1 hour flight to Tampa. Overall he was a wonderful traveler but just got tired at the end.

Max likes Ikea!

Hmmmmm, what do I want from Santa?

Oooooh, that looks good!

Max's 3 month stats(a little late)

Max is now 3 1/2 months old and is growing so fast! He now weighs 15 1/2lbs. or 7kg and is 26in. or 66cm long. These are pictures from our Sunday brunch at the Copenhagen Marriott Hotel. We were there with Krestina, Kajsa, Lars, Bedstemor(Grandma Bendixen) and Bedstefar(Grandpa Bendixen). Max couldn't sit still-just like his Daddy!

Our boy is so strong!

Max is getting stronger everyday. He is now pulling his toys!

Grandpa Greg hair

We call this Grandpa Greg hair because this is what Grandpa's hair looks like in the morning.

Max's Baptism

On Saturday, December 1st, Max was baptized at 10:30am. He was wearing a special dress, made by his Bedstemor(Grandma Bendixen), that his cousins wore at their baptism. After each baptism, Bedstemor embroiders the name and the date of the baptism. The ribbon is blue because Max is a boy. The girls have pink ribbon. In the second picture the three Godparents are with the priest and Max. They are Annette Bendixen and Stinne Bendixen(Thomas' big sisters) and Jesper Jensen(Thomas' childhood friend). After the baptism we had a nice lunch with family and friends. Max was a good boy all day but was very tired from all the attention!

Max and Basso unite!

Basso is getting closer and closer to Max. I think Basso would like to play with some of Max's toys.

Max had a busy day!

Max is able to sit on the couch by himself now. He also likes to sit in his stroller. He no longer wants to lay down-he likes to sit up and see everything. Here's another video of Max. We had to take the other one off because Daddy and Basso were trying to upstage him.

Our new nanny!

We have found our nanny! Javier is a friend from Mexico. He's the brother of one of our college friends. Max went right to sleep in his arms.

Max's first swim meet

On Thursday evening we took Max to his first swim meet. Crown Princess Mary(the first picture) was there to give out the prizes. As you can see in the last picture, Max wasn't impressed by the future Queen of Denmark! The noise of the crowd didn't seem to faze him either.

Max and his friends from the mother group

On Thursday Max and I met with our mother group. Fortunately we live where there are many international people. The first baby is Jamie. He was born July 11th and his mom is Jamaican/American married to a Danish man. The second baby is Ellie. She was born August 21st and her mom is Finnish married to an American. The third baby is Sofia. She was born August 31st and her parents are Mexican. I knew them before because they lived in the apartment below us. And you all know the fourth baby...MAX COLBY BENDIXEN!!!

Max and his hat

I think it's on backwards, Mommy!

Big Brother Basso sleeping

We think Basso is getting used to Max. He no longer runs when Max cries. In the first picture Basso is keeping the diaper changing area warm for Max.

Max's first time in the pool

Max wasn't too happy in the pool but he loved to watch all the people while they went down the water slide and played in the pool. We took him in the small pool which is really warm so it was too foggy to take pictures. You can see the fog in the above pictures. Max has taken to his fist and is determined to get at least one of them all the way in!

A visit from Uncle Chad

Uncle Chad was here for a visit from Monday until today. Max loved to play with him. He smiled and laughed when Uncle Chad talked to him.
