Moving fun

I am 2 months behind on posting pictures...working is taking too much time! After a year of looking for a house we finally bought one on July 1st! We moved in on August 13th. The house is wonderful and I will try to get some pictures posted. Here are some pictures of the boys helping with the moving process.

Summerhouse 2010

We had our second annual weekend at the summerhouse(Lars' boss's summerhouse) the last weekend in July. It was a great weekend with wonderful friends. You can see Max's haircut in pictures.

More summer photos

When we got back from our summer vacation Jonas got a haircut(a real one). Thomas took him and he sat all by himself in the booster seat. He didn't move except when Thomas waved to him he waved back. He surprised me! I thought he would have a fit like Max does. Here are some pictures from July of the boys. Max got a haircut as well but later in the month.

Summer vacation(the French Alps part)

And FINALLY the second part of our summer vacation! I have been wanting to see a mountain stage of the Tour de France for the last few years so we decided to make our way to the French Alps. We rented an apartment in Morzine which is a gorgeous city in the French Alps. I fell in love with the place and would love to go back next summer. This was a great place to be for the Tour de France because we were able to see the riders go up a mountain, stay in the same city where they stayed for one of their rest days and then see them start another stage. At every start there is a little fenced off area which they call the Village Depart. This is for all the sponsors and riders and there's free food and drinks. We were standing outside one of the fences looking in(wanting to go in) when a French woman asked me(and Jonas) if we'd like to come in. So we put on the entrance bands and in we went. That was the icing on the cake. What a great experience!

Our beautiful drive through the French Alps.

We went through the Mont Blanc tunnel. Mont Blanc is the highest point in Europe.

Waiting for the riders to come up the mountain.

Here they come...

The ladies!

I think Max enjoyed seeing the riders but he enjoyed the helicopters the most!

Max isn't the best at posing for pictures.

Max and Kajsa were very sweet to share their lollipops with Jonas.

One of Lance's bicycles.

Max was in heaven seeing so many motorcyles in one place!

We went to the public pool one of the days. This was on the way home from the pool.

We brought one stroller with and it worked very well. Having both boys in at the same time wasn't a problem.

A little train to play in.

Beautiful views every where you look!

So many cars in the Tour de France.

Here we are in the Village Depart.

Jerome Pineau, wearing the mountain jersey, took a break in the Village Depart before the start.

Jonas wasn't too happy being held by Brian Vanborg(a Danish rider).

Andy Schleck- second place winner.

A lot of celebrities have visited the Village Depart.

Future Tour De France winner, Jonas Marvin Bendixen!

Not a chance in _ _ _ _ winner, Darci Lee Bendixen!

We took a pitstop in Switzerland during our drive back to Denmark.

Having fun with water

Forgot to put this on with the Tuscany pictures.

Summer Vacation 2010(the Tuscany part)

On Friday, July 2nd we headed south for Tuscany. I wasn't so sure the boys would enjoy the long drive down but they did pretty good. Max likes to watch videos and Jonas likes to look at books(and eat). I was the navigator for most of the trip so I was busy trying to keep them entertained. We stopped in Munich for the night where we met up with our vacation buddies, Lars and Krestina and their daughter, Kajsa, and then drove the rest on Saturday. We arrived to our destination around 5:30 that evening. The week was filled with being in the pool, being in the pool and being in the pool. The boys love to swim. It was extremely hot(just like Florida) but our promised air conditioner didn't work. Not so fun. But we survived and the last 2 nights we were able to sleep in an empty apartment which had air conditioning. It was a wonderful week and I finally was able to get a tan!!!! Max spent as much time on his "big bike" as he could.

Kajsa also had her bike with so the 2 of them rode around together while Jonas tried to run after them.
One of the great days at the pool.

We had to put tons of sunscreen on the boys and they had their sunhats on most of the time. The sun was so strong-just like Florida in the summer!

Both boys love to play with bubbles.

One of the days we took a trip to Pisa. I have been wanting to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa for a long time. It was crazy hot that day so it was a quick trip.

Fun times in the pool!
Love my Max!
Lars and I have the same birthday so Krestina booked us a Tuscan chef to cook our birthday dinner. It was so tasty! The above picture shows our chef, Graciella. She was so sweet and spoke English really well for being Italian. Needless to say, we ate well that night!
Our last night in Tuscany we had dinner at the restaurant in our apartment building. They gave it to us free for not having air conditioning.
