Max riding his stick horsie

For Max's first birthday he received this horsie from Susse, Thomas and David. For the past month he's been riding it all over the place. Daddy showed him how to do it and now he's a pro!

Daddy tickling Max

As I've said before...hearing Max laugh is the best sound in the world! He loves being tickled by his Daddy!

Max's first Danish Christmas

Bedstefar and Bedstemor made a fantastic Christmas dinner. Max didn't eat much. He was too busy checking out the Christmas tree and all the presents!
He did take some time for dessert(just like his mommy always does!). Bedstemor made ris a la mande(a type of rice pudding with vanilla, whipped cream and cherry sauce).

He couldn't get enough of it!

Sorry that the picture is sideways. This is the Christmas tree with just a few presents under it because we needed space to dance around it!

Bedstemor and Max lit the candles. Yes, they use real candles!

Sorry the video is so dark. The candles didn't give off much light. Max really enjoyed dancing around the Christmas tree. He's decided that we will bring that tradition over to the states! What do you think Grandpa and Grandma?

He can't sit in the chair-he must stand in the chair.
Max was so anxious to open the presents that he was jumping on the furniture!

Max was so interested in all his new toys.

Especially his new tools! Now he can be Daddy's little helper!

I put the pictures on backwards so this is him opening the tool box.

Max's toy from Uncle Chad

Uncle Chad came for a visit the past few days. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of them together. He was a big help with Max. He took him to day care, fed him and put him to bed! Max loved playing "where's Max" with his Uncle Chad! This is a video of Max playing with the new toy that Uncle Chad bought for him. Thank you, Uncle Chad!

Max can get in the top drawer!

Max has learned how to open the bottom drawer and use it as a ladder to climb in the top drawer! Man this ki can climb!

Grandpa and Grandma's visit

What a great week we had with Grandpa and Grandma. Max loved playing with them and hated going to bed at night-afraid he'd miss something! Thank you for coming to see us, Grandpa and Grandma! Can't wait to see you in a couple months!
Max and Grandpa hanging out on the couch.

"Grandpa is so funny!"

Max and Grandpa outside looking at the ducks.

Max loves his Grandpa, especially when Grandpa tickles him!

Grandpa and Grandma's visit(cont.)

Max loves to climb up on the coffee table. He thinks he's big stuff when he's up there.
"No more playing. It's time to get down to business."

Max is showing Grandma the map of the new city ring metro that's being built here in Copenhagen.

"Grandma, what do you think about this?"

Daddy joins the group while Max studies the map.

No looking back now!

It's taken about a month but Max has perfected his walk. The past couple weeks he's been so busy walking from room to room. The world looks a little different now so he has to explore it all over again. He loves it when we cheer him on and will even clap for himself!

Max can say his big brother's name

Max can say a few words but his favorite word is Babbo(Basso). He loves his big brother but his big brother still could care less about him!
