Max's toy from Uncle Chad

Uncle Chad came for a visit the past few days. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of them together. He was a big help with Max. He took him to day care, fed him and put him to bed! Max loved playing "where's Max" with his Uncle Chad! This is a video of Max playing with the new toy that Uncle Chad bought for him. Thank you, Uncle Chad!

Max can get in the top drawer!

Max has learned how to open the bottom drawer and use it as a ladder to climb in the top drawer! Man this ki can climb!

Grandpa and Grandma's visit

What a great week we had with Grandpa and Grandma. Max loved playing with them and hated going to bed at night-afraid he'd miss something! Thank you for coming to see us, Grandpa and Grandma! Can't wait to see you in a couple months!

It's taken about a month but Max has perfected his walk. The past couple weeks he's been so busy walking from room to room. The world looks a little different now so he has to explore it all over again. He loves it when we cheer him on and will even clap for himself!

Max can say his big brother's name

Max can say a few words but his favorite word is Babbo(Basso). He loves his big brother but his big brother still could care less about him!

Max is finally interested in walking! He hasn't perfected it yet but he's getting close.

Max is a climber

Max has become quite good at climbing up on things, especially the dining table! He either uses his high chair or one of our chairs. Never a dull moment with him!!!!!!

Max knows how to eat with a spoon!

Max has learned how to feed himself yogurt with a spoon(instead of his hands!). Most of the yogurt ends up on his chest but it's better than in his hair or on the floor!

Can't get enough of the drawers!

The bathroom drawer has become more exciting than the kitchen drawer for Max. He loves to throw everything out -which is so fun for Mommy and Daddy to clean up!

More birthday presents for Max

Grandma sent a big box full of birthday presents for Max a few weeks ago. I have been too busy to put them on his website. He had a great time ripping all of them open. There were presents from Grandpa and Grandma, Great-Grandma and Max's buddy Jackson in Florida. Max says thank you for his wonderful gifts! Max and his presents!

Max's birthday party

On Sunday we held a birthday brunch for Max. We had a great time but Max was so tired at the end of the day! Max's birthday cupcake.

In Denmark, birthday parties are decorated with Danish flags. They are very proud of their flag because legend has it that the flag fell down from heaven during a war and it is the first known flag. You can barely see the little American flags that I put up in between the Danish flags. Had to have a little bit of the states in there!
We made a big brunch buffet for everyone!

Thomas had a race that day so we went to the center of the Copenhagen and watched him place 4th! Yeah, Daddy! Thomas almost rode off with Max like this but I had to put up the Mommy flag on that one!

Max is really good at opening his gifts!

Max is 1 year old!!!!

I can't believe it...Max is one year old today(wipe the tear from my eye). It has been a crazy year filled with lots of travelling, lots of bicycle races and most of all, lots of laughter and love because of Max. We love him sooooo much that it hurts! I cried when he was born and I still have days where I cry because I love him so much and can't believe how beautiful he is. Typical parent...I know. This is Max when he was born weighing 4326grams or 9 1/2 lbs and 54 cm long or 21 1/4 in. Now he is 9.5kg or 21lbs and 80cm or 31 1/2 in.

Max was busy today. I took him swimming and then when we came home he was practicing his standing/walking skills. Unfortunately I didn't have the camera for the other few times that he was standing and taking a few steps. You never know when they are going to do it!

Max has become quite fond of splashing in his bathtub. Our next place will have a real bathtub so he can start swimming laps! Michael Phelps- LOOK OUT!!!

Max went to Jamie's(his buddy from the mother group) house today and played on the rings. Max was having fun until he got kind of stuck in the second video. I know I'm a mean Mommy but I couldn't help but laugh:)

Sofia's party

One of the girls, Sofia, from our mother group had a birthday party on Saturday. Max had a great time. They had a baby pool full of plastic balls. The kids all loved it. This is Max and Elli(the other girl in the mother group).

I tried to get a picture of the four kids in the mother group but now that they are all moving, it's almost impossible! Sofia is the one in the back.
